We have championed Sweden-based, Australian indie folk artist Hazlett for the last few years – Our ‘Acoustic Artist of The Year’ pick for 2023.
Hazlett will soon share his “deeply intimate” new album, “last night you said you missed me” [stylised lower case], on 13th September 2025 via Nettwerk. His new single, “i don’t want your garden” [stylised lower case], is out now along with the accompanying official video.
The new LP blends stripped-back ballads and acoustic textures, exploring “themes of self-preservation, distance, yearning, and quiet hope.” Highlights include recent singles “mountain of a memory,” “tell me something,” “doing my best” and “blue jean,”[all titles stylised l/c], offering glimpses into Hazlett’s evolved artistry.
Hazlett says: “This one’s a little different, which I know is cliché to say, but it’s true. I think it would be easier to say after all these years that I’ve found my sound and that’s where I’ll stay. But I think there’s a lack of authenticity in staying the same.
“When I started this whole thing, I wanted anyone who starts to listen to feel like they’re part of this whole thing with me. Growing, trying, and finding pieces of ourselves along the way.”
His 2023 debut “Bloom Mountain” and 2024’s “Goodbye to the Valley Low”, established him as a masterful storyteller. With in excess of 450 million global streams, 2.5 million monthly Spotify listeners, and 117,000 TikTok fans, his music continues to resonate on a global scale. This summer, Hazlett took to the stage with Noah Kahan at London’s BST Hyde Park, the biggest show of his career.
Hazlett will return for a quartet of shows in December – his first full band UK tour – as part of his upcoming European tour; including his biggest UK solo show to date, at London’s Union Chapel:
4th Dec – Manchester, UK @ Academy 3
5th Dec – Glasgow, UK @ The Art School
7th Dec – Dublin, IE @ The Academy
9th Dec – London, UK @ Union Chapel
