Today (23rd November 2023) groundbreaking Manchester-based composer and singer-songwriter Jamie Irrepressible, aka Jamie McDermont and his seven-piece band The Irrepressibles, drop the beautiful new single, “Will I Ever Find a Home?”
Released via Of Naked Design – with shades of Sting, Elbow and Richard Hawley – it follows his EP, “Self Love & Acceptance.”
Having racked up three billion streams for his unique brand of cathartic orchestral-pop, Jamie is one of Britain’s most talented musical exports, garnering collaborations with electronic artists such as Røyskopp, Tinlicker, Rex The Dog, and ionalee.
Originally from Yorkshire, Jamie started The Irrepressibles back in 2002. After three critically acclaimed studio albums, the band performed their recent EP to sold-out shows on an intimate tour of the UK’s most beautiful churches and concert halls, including St Mark’s in Edinburgh, London’s St Luke’s, and Oxford’s St Barnabas’.
“Will I Ever Find a Home?’ immerses the listener in a touching ode to alienation and follows the release of The Irrepressibles’ intimate instrumental piece written in the wake of the passing of Jamie’s beloved cousin, Martin Williams.
