The Scruff: Vultures…

A quirky and infectious ready-made festival anthem – no chance of any festivals this summer, sadly – from indie Bedford band The Scruff.

“Vultures” is a more ballsy Blur “Park Life” track from the energetic trio.

The video for the single features the band performing to a ‘virtually-present’ crowd, and aims to highlight the disparity between individuals’ real world and their online personalities.

“Shot on the cusp of lockdown, the video is a tongue in cheek look at how we consume music and media in modern times,” explain the band. “Made all the more relevant by current social distancing measures, the video focuses on the way people behave online versus how they would in the ‘real world’, a world that now feels further away than ever.”

The Scruff have a debut album, in the pipeline for 2020. “Vultures” is produced by Jason Perry (Fatherson, Don Broco, McFly) and mixed by Drew Bang (Slaves, Royal Blood, The Japanese House).

“Vultures” follows up the well received previous single “Her”, written about personal loss and tragedy, which BBC Radio 1 showed some – making it ‘Track Of The Week’.

They have made many new fans with slots at Reading & Leeds, Isle Of Wight and The Great Escape festivals, among many other shows.

We have high hopes for this band’s future success…..Will keep you posted…
