Latitude Festival, Suffolk, Sunday 26th July 2026 – Day # 3 Of 3…

Day three of Latitude 2026 and the bumper 20th anniversary bash is almost done; but there is still a whole day and evening of cracking bands and artists to enjoy yet.

Lewis Capaldi headlining the main stage and The Flaming Lips bringing party vibes to the second stage in the big top as headliners, complete with giant inflatables and confetti cannons.

Despite the weather reports of showers and hopes for a cooler day after the first two blistering days at Latitude, by noon when the sleepy head campers had woken up and many have packed the tents into their cars, the sun had its hat back on and it was scorchio.

Big announcement on Sunday; that the festival’s organisers had secured the same Suffolk site at Henham Park near Southwold, for the next 25 years. Woo hoo! Great news.

Lewis Capaldi

Sunday we caught Lewis Capaldi, The Flaming Lips, the bloody amazing Self Esteem, Everything Everything, St Etienne, comedians Jack Dee, and David O’Doherty, The Undertones, Panic Shack, Beth Orton, English Teacher, Say She She, and Alex James’ Britpop Classical. All were superb and all matched the quality performances of days one and two at Latitude 2026. We did not see or hear one act across the three days that let the side down. The event’s bookers take a bow.

Going to to keep the words succint on this page and refer you guys to our coverage of Friday and Saturday for more info if you need it. We have so many cracking images to show here from Sunday, we’ll let the pictures tell the story of a triumphant day. Be sure to check out the review and shots from the first two days, in our “Live Zone”.

It is our third year of covering this festival and I will say it was the best so far. The variety and stature of the acts, and the general vibe onsite. The only minor grumble, but out of the festival’s control, is the amazing amount of dust on our clothing, laptop, cameras and breathing it in. The breeze caused it to swirl up and into your face, at times.

Self Esteem

Some of the security people wore masks and scarves because of it, even in the heat. It is from the ground being so dry with the drought and hot weather for the last weeks. There was zero dust the last two years we have been there.

Blur’s Alex James was testing out his new concept: Alex James Classical Britpop, and it most definitely got the thumbs up from the Sunday crowd. Guest singers included Republica’s Saffron, Reef’s Gary Stringer, and the great Phil Daniels popped up to sing “Park Life”, which he sang on the hit record, of course.

Self Esteem aka Sheffield lass Rebecca Lucy Taylor is mesmerising. Her set is more like watching a theatrical performance in the West End or on Broadway, or perhaps more likely The National Theatre. It is experimental in style and out there, but it works. And the bizarre visuals and crafted ensemble moves take nothing away from her songs and her voice. She has it all. And it is hard to look away.

Passionate and totally in her own lane. It may well be Marmite for some. Rebecca and her seven colleagues all wearing matching black robes and white hats, almost like nuns, but probably more Amish in style. All with small microphones on a device on their face.

With crisp precision they perform the first few songs before removing some layers and revealing more modern styling. Rebecca apologises to the children in the audience before advising the crowd that the next song is called “69”.

She states it’s just a simple number! She warns the crowd that for the next 45 mins “your arse is mine”. She is one of the most unusual artists on the scene right now, and as sure as eggs is eggs, she will get bigger in stature and I bet she ends up starring in some big movie one day.

So. Enjoy the fabulous pix and do check out Friday’s and Saturday’s features too…. Thankyou Latitude and see you in 2027 for your “key to the door” 21st birthday.
