Our latest “Track Record” participant is Doug Aldrich, the celebrated American hard rock guitarist with a starry CV.
Doug founded the band Burning Rain with Keith St. John in 1998 and has played with Whitesnake, Dio, Lion, Hurricane, House of Lords, Bad Moon Rising and Revolution Saints. He has also released several solo albums.
Doug [62] toured with former Deep Purple bassist and vocalist Glenn Hughes’ band in 2015. It was announced in early 2016 that he would be replacing Richard Fortus, as guitarist of The Dead Daisies, the all-star globally respected rock band formed in 2012, with a revolving lineup of ‘A-List’ rock musicians.
The Dead Daisies had such an impressive time on their June European Tour, they’re due back to Ireland and the UK in the next few days.
The first of eight shows kicks off in Belfast playing The Limelight on Wednesday 13th August 2025, the tour also sees them visit Edinburgh, Newcastle, Wolverhampton, Cardiff, London and Holmfirth, finishing off in Newark where they will perform as part of the Stonedead Festival on Saturday 23rd August.

John Corabi says: “We can’t wait to be visiting Ireland and the UK this August. It’s going to be a great tour of loud, sweaty classic rock and some blues, so we hope to see ya there!!!”
Doug Aldrich also shared his excitement: “Hey guys, can’t wait to play for you all again. No matter where you see us, we’ll bring it, and you’re guaranteed to have a great night. Let’s go!!”

Last year, the band released “Light ‘Em Up”, recorded in both Nashville, Tennessee and Muscle Shoals, Alabama. While at the iconic Fame Studios, the guys were inspired by their surroundings and threw down some of their favourite blues’ classics offering a heartfelt nod to their musical influences. They released the album “Lookin’ For Trouble” on May 30th.
A series of singles were released from the chart-topping album “Light ‘Em Up”, with highly successful tours across the US, UK and Europe with Tommy Clufetos returning on drums. “Love That’ll Never Be” (Radio Edit) and the first single, “Crossroads”, from the blues album hit the airwaves in February.
Over a decade ago, The Dead Daisies burst onto the music scene. Their mission was/is to create some good old fashioned 70’s style rock, gather some of the finest musicians in the world, and have a great time keeping rock music alive.
As a powerhouse rock band celebrated for their soulful, blues-infused sound and dazzling performances they have consistently pushed the limits of rock music and remain dedicated to substance over style, driven by an unwavering work ethic and a relentless passion for their craft.
The Dead Daisies have gone from strength to strength since the release of their self-titled album in 2013, releasing 11 albums to a growing army of fans worldwide and are praised by the global media in an era where rock has been declared dead time and time again.
The band’s DNA includes an amazing collective of players that includes David Lowy, Doug Aldrich, John Corabi, Michael Devin, Tommy Clufetos, Glenn Hughes, Marco Mendoza, Richard Fortus, Dizzy Reed, Frank Ferrer, Darryl Jones, Charley Drayton, Deen Castronovo and Jon Stevens, among others.

They’ve had some incredible one-offs and special highlights over the last decade including sharing stages with some of the world’s biggest Rock bands including Kiss, Guns N‘ Roses, Scorpions, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Bad Company, Whitesnake, ZZ Top, Foreigner, Judas Priest and the Hollywood Vampires.
There’s been multiple headline tours throughout Europe, Japan, as well as South and North America. The Daisies were thrilled to play for the passionate music-loving people of Cuba after the embargo lifted in 2015.
Venturing to South Korea with the USO [United Service Organizations] was an honour, and they felt the love playing with a 60-piece orchestra in front of a massive 300,000 crowd at the “Concert For Freedom” in Poland. The band has rocked with hundreds of thousands at some of the worlds’ most prestigious music festivals such as Download, Wacken, Graspop, Hellfest and Sweden Rock.
A mobile game featuring the band’s “guardian” Daisy was launched in 2021. “Daisies Revenge” is the first of a planned series of digital experiences inspired by the band’s music and videos.
The UK dates this month feature songs from the “Light ‘Em Up” album and a collection of the band’s favourite blues songs. The second single “Boom Boom” hit the airwaves in Apri,l leading into the “Lookin’ For Trouble” album release on May 30th.
The Dead Daisies mission statement is simple: To prove beyond reasonable doubt that rock and blues music genres are very much alive and well and kicking – in very safe hands!
