Thomas & The Angry Hearts, a five-piece Americana and folk-rock centric Norwegian band release their self-titled album on 18th April 2025 via new label Southbound Records – a pleasing 10-track affair which also carries subtle flavours of Celtic/Irish and country genres.
This is their debut long player, after the release of EPs in 2004 and this year, plus a bunch of singles. The sound is built around singer and guitarist Thomas Warhuus Adland’s songs, and his lead vocals which he shares with his partner Hilde B. Adland.
The 10-track album is co-produced by Ronni Le Tekro of TNT, who also plays guitar on the record, and recording engineer Kjartan Hesthagen.
A solid rootsy vibe across this project, with the material exploring the themes of love, friendships, relationships, regret and reconciliation.
“We Are All Here Now” and “I Will Carry You” – the songs on the two videos on this page – were both released as singles in 2024, along with the EP “Until The End”. The “Perfect Rules” EP came out in early 2025.
The album also features the musical skills of The Angry Hearts members Stig Terje Inderberg, Leiv-Rune Gully and Nils Stian Aasheim. It will be available on CD and via digital sources.
