Wilderness Festival 2024 was a real corker!
Great weather and spectacular performances from headliners Faithless, Michael Kiwanuka, Bicep present Chroma, Jessie Ware…
Plus fab sets from De La Soul, Barry Can’t Swim, Alison Goldfrapp, Palace, and more.
Surprise performers included Olivia Colman, Clara Amfo, Daisy Ridley and Rob Rinder , who took to the stage for ‘Letters Live.’
Food enthusiasts relished in dining experiences from culinary stars Claude Bosi, Richard Corrigan, Meera Sodha, Andi Oliver, Rohit Ghai, Rafael Cagali, Josh Angus, Chantelle Nicholson, Mam Sham and Ben Quinn.
Wilderness celebrated its 13th season with an extended weekend of multi-arts programming, some vibrant new venues, world-renowned musical talent, artists, creatives, performers and a world-class culinary line-up.
The Atrium, where world-class arts, musical magic and hilarity meet, curated yet another memorable line-up across the weekend.
Highlights included the return of the ever-popular Wilderness favourite, ‘Letters Live’, which saw a diverse array of outstanding, surprise performers including Olivia Coleman, Clara Amfo, Daisy Ridley, Louise Brealey, Katy Hessel, Nabhaan Rizwan and Rob Rinder.
Plus Shaun Usher, Philli Boyle, Ferdinand Kingsley, Mark Kemode, Tom Blyth and John Lloyd, all sharing remarkable letters written over the centuries.
Comedy also took centre stage for the first time in Wilderness’ history at The Atrium, with sets from headliners Joel Dommett – current host of ITV’s The Masked Singer- and Rosie Jones.
The headliners were supported by, among others, super-sharp stand up from 2023 Edinburgh Fringe winner Ahir Shah, and offbeat daftness from multi-award winning comedian Amy Gledhill.
The Forum, the festival’s HQ of talks, debates, panel discussions, welcomed host of Strictly and The Traitors, and favourite broadcaster of millions Claudia Winkleman; art historian, columnist and broadcaster Katy Hessel and Turner Prize winner Jeremy Deller.
They brought the broadsheets to life with the pioneering sectional format, ‘Sunday Papers Live’, which took over The Forum on Sunday.
- 2025 ‘Early Bird’ tickets for Wilderness [and The Wilderness Loyalty scheme] are on sale from Saturday 10th August 2024.
