The definition of “mesmerising” needs amending. To read: “See Ganavya”… Just take a listen to her below, via the video of an appearance on BBC TV’s “Later…with Jools Holland” this month (June 2024) and you’ll know what we mean.
The acclaimed South-Asian multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Ganavya is set to return to London next week, for an intimate four-night residency at Love Supreme Projects in Notting Hill.
The shows come off the back of her sold-out run at St Pancras Old Church in March, and follow the release of critically acclaimed album “like the sky I’ve been too quiet” [stylised lower case] released this March on Shabaka Hutchings’ Native Rebel Recordings.
Known for her delicate and emotive voice and deeply moving live sets [“one of the most uplifting and incredible gigs I’ve been to in a long, long time”: Benji B, BBC Radio 1], Ganavya will be accompanied by a band at the Notting Hill shows, performing songs from “like the sky I’ve been too quiet”, alongside previously unreleased repertoire.
- Ganavya performs at Love Supreme Projects from Thursday June 27th – Sunday June 30th. Tickets are on sale now.
