Brilliant new single, “Part Of The Band”, from The 1975, preceding their next album, “Being Funny In A Foreign Language” which drops 14th October 2022 via Dirty Hit.
The track and the video (director: Samuel Bradley) are inventive and classy – taken from the band’s 11-track fifth studio album which was recorded at Real World Studios in Wiltshire and Electric Lady Studios in New York.
Formed in Manchester in 2002, the band’s previous album, 2020’s “Notes On A Conditional Form”, became their fourth consecutive # 1 album in the UK, claiming top spot in Australia too.
Crowned ‘Best Group’ at the BRIT Awards in 2017 and 2019. Their third studio album, “A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships” won ‘Mastercard British Album of the Year’ at the 2019 ceremony.
The 1975 will make their live comeback as the headliners of Japan’s biggest rock festival Summer Sonic 2022, in Tokyo and Osaka on 20th and 21st August, before they step in to headline Leeds and reading Festival in the UK, last minute replacements for the indisposed Rage Against The Machine.
