Cornbury Festival Announces Latest Wave Of 2022 Line-up – And ‘Farewell’…

STOP PRESS: Steve Winwood added to the 2022 line-up, as very special guest with Staks on Sunday 10th July.

The Cotswolds’ jewel in the crown of summer festivals, Cornbury, has revealed its 2022 headliners and a raft of eclectic additional acts – while sadly confirming this year’s event will be the last.

The majority of bands and artists on the 2022 bill are returning festival favourites. Headliners are Bryan Adams, James Blunt, The Darkness, The Waterboys, Ronan Keating and Jools Holland.

Latest acts to be announced are Mica Paris, The Magic Numbers, Altered Images, The Christians, Alice Russell, Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, William The Conqueror, Ferris & Sylvester, Andy Fairweather Lowe, Amy Montgomery and Beans on Toast. Many more still to announce.

Cornbury in the heart of Oxfordshire, attracts 20,000 people every year for the last 17 years, and this year runs from 8th to 10th July 2022 at its picturesque Great Tew Park site.

Starting in 2004 at Cornbury Park and moving to Great Tew near Chipping Norton in 2011, Cornbury has produced a host of globally known headliners including Amy Winehouse, Joe Cocker, Elvis Costello, Robert Plant, Paul Simon, The Faces, Ray Davies and many more.

Hugh Phillimore, the festival’s promoter, said: 2017 had been intended as our last festival, but our customers encouraged us to continue, so we did! However, having to postpone the festival in both 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic has taken its toll, and we have had to move on.

“We couldn’t leave without one last farewell, so, there will be fireworks, there will be feasts and there will be tears before bedtime, but we intend to make this year one hell of a party as we plan to go out with a bang!
