Jamie Telford’s My Glass World Drop New Album…

“A Handbook Of Roses” by My Glass World is released on 9th October 2020 on Luxury Noise Records – their fourth album.

The project is the brainchild of Jamie Telford, who has written and recorded with the likes of Paul Weller and Richard Strange among others.

He also trained as a classical composer and his work has been performed by the NYO and Southbank Sinfonia.

Initially a pianist, Jamie has played on Top 10 hits with The Jam, The Style Council, scored classical music, experimented with electronics, scored theatre music on a world tour of ‘Hamlet’ and made music for adverts and film.

Scottish-born, London-based Jamie joined forces with musician Sean Read for this album, whose production credits include Edwyn Collins and Dexy’s Midnight Runners.

Sean played keyboards and saxophone, plus co-produced and mixed the record. Among the assembled players on the record is drummer Steven Stuffy Gilchrist, who plays with Graham Coxon.

The album was recorded and mixed in two short runs spanning under two months from start to finish at Sean’s ‘Famous Times’ studio in Hackney, London.

The partnership have created an off-the-wall album that blurs genres, encompassing country tinges, jazz rhythms and Stax era horns that defies pigeon-holing.

Previous tracks from the band have been championed by Elbow frontman Guy Garvey on his BBC6 Music radio show.

The album is available in vinyl, CD and digital download.
