Irish Hot Tip ‘Really Good Time’ Continue Going For Goal…

Hot prospect Irish band Really Good Time – who we tipped for big things after their storming sets at The Great Escape Festival in Brighton last year – drop their new track “Scott Carson and its accompanying video today, 4th April 2025.…

“Scott Carson” will be released as a limited edition 7″ single, alongside the vinyl-only B-side “Wish.com il Duce”, which will be landing in Dublin’s R.A.G.E. on Record Store Day (April 12th). Pre-orders are available now from the RGT Bandcamp. “Scott Carson” was recorded live, and captures the raw, frantic energy of an RGT gig.

A contemporary howl for meaning, “Scott Carson” uses professional football as a lens to explore the clash between ego and the reality of self-debasement that comes with living for a dream in 2025: “Come on coach, put me in, I spent my whole life dreaming of this, it’s just embarrassing”.

Really Good Time from Dublin is a band of friends, meeting many years ago while sharing small stages, playing with different acts within Dublin’s close-knit music scene. Since then, they have sold out headlines in Dublin, independently toured the UK, and built a loyal following around a live show and a string of singles and videos.

Last winter, RGT released their debut EP “Escape From the Mountain Of Spit”. This coincided with the band taking to larger stages at home and abroad with prominent festival slots and supports for the likes of Franz Ferdinand, The Murder Capital, and The Scratch.
