There’s this teenage kid I know called Aidan who has been going to live gigs with my mate, his music crazy mother (who is also a singer) since he was a nipper, and he dabbled at drums and other instruments when he was younger.
But he’d much rather watch and listen than be up on stage these days, and of all the genres he has been immersed in at home and attending these gigs across the years, these days he has settled one style of music alone to call his own. Rockabilly. There’s a bit of a clue when you spot his quiffed-up hair.
So when this album popped up for me to review, I knew young Aidan would love it, and so this is one I gifted to him and the feedback from his mum is: “He bloody loves it”. So that’s a real review for you, eh?

Including tunes by Carl Perkins and Ronnie Self,plus some super rare and hard to find anthems by the likes of Onie Wheeler, Derrell Felts And The Confederates, Willie Ward And The Warblers, Larry And Dixie Davis and Art Adams And The Rhythm Knights
