Brooklyn-based songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Mark Ciani drops new single, “Heaven Can’t Be Eternity,” the first to be lifted from incoming album, “Utopia”.
Describing the new track, Mark Ciani says it is an examination of youth, anxiety, self-destructive behavior, and the difficulties of forming lasting emotional connections during adolescence and early adulthood.
“Utopia” was recorded primarily at Dreamland Recording Studios inNew York—a historic converted church—and co-produced alongside three-time Grammy-winning engineer Fernando Lodeiro, a longtime collaborator who has worked with Ciani across nine albums. It is due for release on August 21st 2026.
Having spent decades writing, recording, and producing music across a variety of projects before ultimately embracing releases under his own name, Mark has developed a distinctive artistic voice rooted in curiosity, craftsmanship, and a commitment to the album as a complete artistic statement.
