Sunday: The final day of the fabulous Shiiine On Weekender 2026 at Butlin’s Skegness, which offers up yet another tasty menu of entertainment across several stages after a belting first two days – with thousands having a whale of a time until the wee small hours with a superb line-up of live music, comedy and DJs. See our coverage of day 1 & 2 in the “Live Zone”.
Friday’s bands The Enemy, The Beat, The Twang, Cud and many more delivered ace performances. Day # 2 of 3 also excelled; with sparkling sets from the likes of Embrace, Alabama 3, Stereo MC’s, Lo Fidelity Allstars, Bentley Rhythm Ace, The Magic Numbers, Ex-Specials’ star Neville Staples, Jah Wobble and many more. Young Liverpool band The Sway did very well on Saturday.
Today, excellent sets from The Lightning Seeds, Terrorvision, Ned’s Atomic Dustbin, Deja Vega, Rosellas, The Bluetones, Badly Drawn Boy, The Blow Monkeys, and more. Cracking comedy sets too from the likes of the brilliant Tom Ward.
Our man with more cameras than the M25, Liam Battersby, captured many more hot shots on day # 3, despite being woken at 4am and again at breakfast-time by a couple in the next room at his local off-site hotel, having a massive and very loud row.
The paper-thin walls revealed to all that Mr X was being accused of an affair with “Amy” by Mrs X!!!! You all want to know what happened, don’t you? So do we, but alas we do not have a Scooby! [Cue the duff duff duffers from the Eastenders’ theme tune.]
