Egyptian-Sudanese singer-songwriter Nxdia was born in Cairo and is Manchester-raised, and we were smitten at Brighton’s Great Escape Festival in 2025, tipping Nxdia for big things.
Their first new music of 2026 is groove-laden single “Cool”, which feels like a hit to us…Navigating the tumultuous landscape of early stage dating and on a journey of self-discovery, the new track’s easy fusion of bare-all, bilingual lyrics and bleary-eyed pop beats ooze with a sense of laidback self-assurance: the ideal antidote to the perils and pitfalls of modern dating.
“Cool” follows Nxdia’s critically acclaimed 2025 debut mixtape, “I Promise No One’s Watching”. Having amassed more than 100 million streams globally, 1.2 million monthly listeners on Spotify and a cult following, Nxdia’s brutal honesty, tongue-in-cheek, tell-all lyricism and deft bridging of musical and cultural worlds is attracting major support across broadcast, print and online media.
A summer of festival shows followed the mixtape release as Nxdia drew packed-out crowds at the likes of Latitude, Brighton Pride, Bludfest, Lollapalooza Paris and The Great Escape, plus a headline slot on the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading & Leeds. Nxdia’s debut UK and EU tour took place throughout October 2025.

Nxdia will support Cat Burns across the UK throughout April 2026.
