Marseille are an exciting young UK band making friends in high places – with their ballsy and energetic indie-rock and self-confident swagger – including the fashion brand Pretty Green, founded by Liam Gallagher, who have agreed a tie-up with the lads.
Hailing from Derbyshire, the five-piece band have an average age of just 19-years-old and are: Lead singer Will Brown, Joe Labram on lead guitar), Lennon Hall also on guitar), Will Sabey on bass and Tom Spray behind the drum kit.
Formed just two years ago, word is spreading, with the band having already completed a successful UK tour, selling out 150-250 capacity venues. They have just released their excellent new track, “History” – working with Wolf Alice’s producer Michael Smith – and its accompanying official video which you can watch, below….
“History is a love letter to the dreams we all had as children, being remembered as a legend of your era. Will Brown says: “History is a simple song which applies to any young person with big aspirations. It’s probably the most personal to us as a collective as we fit that criterion. We are five young lads that want our legacy to be remembered, and that is one of the most special things that anyone can ever write about.”
Last year (2024), Marseille played notable shows such as the Quarry Stage at the YNOT!, Isle Of Wight festival, Manchester Academy 2, supported The Twang at Leicester Academy and The Bluetones in Lancaster.
- A 7″ vinyl release of “History” is scheduled for 14th March.
