JET: First New Tracks For 15 Years, Ahead Of UK Tour & Full LP…

Australian rock legends JET, who formed in 2001, are back with their first new material in 15 years and the announcement of their major UK and Ireland “Get Born” 20th anniversary tour in October ’24.

Today (6th September) the band share their new single “Hurry Hurry” along with its B-Side “Un’avventura”. Both tracks featured on a very limited 7″ single which sold-out during  shows in Australia earlier this year, where “Hurry Hurry” became a highlight of the set.

A second exclusive pressing of only 200 copies (numbered 301-500) will be available for sale at the live shows in Italy, UK and the USA. As with the Australian 7″, only a strictly limited 20 numbered copies will be sold at the merch’ desk each night of the tour. And for those that miss out, another batch will be available in select retail outlets and available to pre-order online from today.

The band’s singer Nic Cester says: ” ‘Hurry Hurry’ is our first single in 15 years and a little appetiser while we continue to work on our upcoming album. We’ve been playing ‘Hurry Hurry’ live with a great response from our fans in Australia, we’re really looking forward to debuting it live at our overseas shows in Italy, the UK and the US.”

With Nic performing in both English and Italian (he has lived in Italy for the past 15 years), JET’s version amplifies with the energy of Lucio Battisti’s original and Wilson Pickett’s cover. Produced by Fabio Senna, while “Un’avventura” was produced by JET with additional production from Tommaso Colliva. Both tracks were mixed by the Grammy-winning Ricky Damian.  JET’s new studio album is set to follow in 2025.

JET achieved phenomenal success in their first incarnation, with their 2003 debut album “Get Born” racing up charts around the world and achieving more than six million sales – including Platinum status in the UK.

Two further hit albums followed in the shape of “Shine On” in 2006 and “Shaka Rock” in 2009. The band have six million monthly listeners at Spotify – a remarkable figure for a band whose most recent album came out before the platform’s full global launch.

In addition to the UK and Ireland dates, JET will play two shows in Italy ahead of a North American tour which is entirely sold-out.
