Sam Palladio: Cool New Single Taken From Incoming Debut Album…

Sam Palladio, the acclaimed Cornish musician and actor and star of US TV drama “Nashville” has dropped a super new single, “Gone Like The Summer”, lifted from his eagerly anticipated debut album “The Perfect Summer’s Day, Before We Lost The Light” which is due on September 13th.

The album is a mix of soulful indie, rock, pop and Americana, all spearheaded by Sam’s warm earthy vocals. The album features collaborations with Biffy Clyro’s Simon Neil on “Spill Your Heart”, and Foo Fighters’ Chris Shiflett on “Tennessee”  – the latter also made a surprise appearance at Sam’s intimate 100 Club show in London recently, where the pair performed onstage together.

Sam’s new single, “Gone Like The Summer” is a bright breezy indie track co-written between Sam and Kaiser Chiefs’ drummer Nick Hodgeson. The video features Sam and actress Scout Taylor-Compton (Halloeen, The Runaways, Nashville).

The pairing also throws back to both actors’ fictional romance in the hit series “Nashville” which they previous worked on together. Sam has had a whirlwind career, and originally shot to fame in America playing the character of Gunnar Scott in “Nashville”, and most recently Sam played The Clash frontman Joe Strummer in the new “Bob Marley: One Love” biopic.

“Tennessee” is an ode to Sam’s move into the Nashville country space as an actor. The music video plays off of the song’s theme, his career as a musician, and his background as an actor.

Exploring the dynamic on a fictional, spaghetti western set. Featuring performances from Candice King, Butch Walker, and Jonathan Jackson. Directed-By Carson Butcher who also directed the video for the latest single, “Gone Like The Summer”.
