Adult Leisure is a band we have been championing for a couple of years now – and this fab Bristol-based melodic alt-indie four-piece return today (15th August 2024) with their excellent new single “Borderline”.
Formed in 2020, Neil Scott [vocals], David Woolford [guitar & vocals], James Laing [bass] and Nathan Searle [drums] released a string of singles before unveiling their debut EP, “The Weekend Ritual” in December 2022, streamed more than 60,000 times to date.
Their second studio EP, “Present State of Joy and Grief” was released in November ’23, and picked by producer Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, One Direction, Paloma Faith) to be played in Hotel Chocolat stores worldwide.
Since their sold out debut show in July 2022, the band have toured the UK four times and supported the The Family Rain, Afflecks Palace, China Bears, Human Interest and The Luka State, and have played a variety of UK festivals.
September 2024 will see Adult Leisure heading to Europe for the first time, to play Sweden’s Live At Heart Festival.
Borderline was inspired by the break-up of a long term relationship around that time for lead singer Neil Scott, and the feeling of hindsight in the months following it.
“Borderline”, was recorded and mixed with Ollie Searle and mastered by John Webber (David Bowie, Duran Duran, Coach Party).

August 29th – Dareshack, Bristol (Headline)
August 31st – BOSfest, Burnham-on-Sea
