Australian-born and raised, Sweden-based artist Hazlett was our ‘Acoustic Artist of The Year’ pick for 2023, and his lovely “Goodbye To The Valley Low” EP which came out in December last year made a huge impact with us. He’s back with beautiful new single, “Bones Shake”, to precede a summer 2024 new EP.
The delicate indie folk of “Bones Shake” dropped today [19th April 2024] via Nettwerk – a mesmerising track with Hazlett’s angelic vocals at their very best – his first single of this year.
Following the release of his debut album “Bloom Mountain” and the EP “Goodbye to the Valley Low” – the latter recorded in an off-grid cabin on the west coast of Sweden – in 2023, Hazlett has just come off of a North America tour with LANY, and releases his new single as he heads back out across Europe, supporting Passenger, Calum Scott and Ocie Elliott on their tours.
Hazlett, thinking about “Bones Shake” says: “I think running away gets a bit of a bad name. I think it’s near impossible to clarify exactly where things went wrong or how to fix them when you’re sitting in the mess you made. Whether it’s time or distance, sometimes the further you get away the clearer it all becomes to piece things together and make your comeback.”
