After two brilliant days and many, many fantastic live performances from the big stars and some exciting rising stars, sadly it is the final day of 2023’s lovely Leeds Festival.
Once again, Music Republic Magazine is on a roving brief across all 11 stages at one of the jewels in the UK’s annual live music events’ crown – which runs over the same weekend with the same acts as Reading Festival.
Top snapper Jason Sheldon producing more stunning shots today, to go with the absolute crackers he shot for us on days # 1 & # 2.
In our “Hot Shots” selection, we bring you the pix as they are taken, sent direct from the site from the media centre by Jason…
On Friday he caught main stage acts The Amazons, Hot Milk, Bakar, the fabulous Rina Sawayama, Declan McKenna, the brilliant Becky Hill and Imagine Dragons.
On Saturday he snapped headliners Sam Fender and Foals, plus the likes of Frank Turner, Wet Leg, Mimi Webb, Loyle Carner, Yard Act and future stars Alt Blk Era – who we tipped for future success last summer (2022), when we saw their storming debut festival spot, when they opened Nottingham’s Splendour Festival in fine style.
Since then, as we predicted a year ago, they have been signed to a record deal and have secured major management. They even performed at Glastonbury Festival this year. At Leeds and Reading 2023, they headlined the BBC Introducing stage and rammed the place out.
Today (Sunday), headliners are The Killers and The 1975 (Matty and his band stepping in for the indisposed Lewis Capaldi).
Also delivering the musical treats today are the superb Baby Queen, the brilliant Holly Humberstone, and Inhaler with Bono’s son Elijah Hewson fronting.
Plus, Nothing But Thieves, Jamie Webster, Arlo Parks, Leicester lads Easy Life, Chase Atlantic, Caity Baser, Malaki, Pixey and many more.
Schhhh! Bizarrely, Irish twins Jedward will be there too!
