Beabadoobee: Music Video Of The Year Contender???

The fantastic beabadoobee (stylised lower case b) has shared her gorgeous new single “The Way Things Go” via Dirty Hit – and its stunning accompanying video directed by Jacob Erland (watch it below…).

The video stars beabadoobee and guitarist Jacob Bugden alongside a number of ballet dancers in an ornately decorated room, and for us is surely a contender for music video of the year.

“The Way Things Go” follows the recent single “Glue Song”, which became Bea’s debut Top 40 single and has been streamed more than 125 million times, and her second album “Beatopia”, which peaked at # 5 in the Official UK Album Chart.

The release of the single comes during an exciting 2023 for beabadoobee, who supported global superstar Taylor Swift on the US leg of her huge “The Eras” stadium tour.

beabadoobee embarks on a run of shows across the USA in July and August(dates at bottom of the page), including two headline dates at New York’s Terminal 5 and a night at LA’s Greek Theatre, with stops at Lollapalooza and Outside Lands festivals.

Born in the Philippines and raised in London, Beatrice Laus began recording music as beabadoobee in 2017. At just 22 years old, beabadoobee already has two acclaimed albums and five EPs under her belt.

She received BRIT Award and BBC ‘Sound Of’ nominations and she won the NME 2020 Radar award. Bea’s music has accumulated 4.6 billion streams worldwide and has a 3.5 million+ social reach with a huge, dedicated Gen Z fanbase.

beabadoobee’s debut album “Fake It Flowers” was released in 2020 to widespread critical acclaim and debuted at #8 in the UK album chart.

2022’s follow up “Beatopia” debuted in the Top 5 of the UK album chart and was accompanied by her biggest sold out UK tour to date, a huge North America tour and her first tour of Asia.

beabadoobee has toured globally, supporting the likes of Taylor Swift, The 1975, Halsey and Clairo, as well as playing at some of the biggest festivals in the world, including Coachella, Glastonbury, Summer Sonic, Reading and Leeds and more.
