Undiscovered: NOA – Rising Canadian Pop / R&B Artist…

Hot prospect Canadian pop and r&b artist NOA (stylised upper case) has dropped the video to her new single, “Gone”.

Her 2019 single “Caught Up” has so far notched up circa 2.4 million streams on Spotify.

NOA penned “Gone” with Toronto songwriters/producers Emery Taylor and Bobby Love. A post-breakup anthem that takes you through the initial emotions, anger and heat of getting over someone. Inspired by the end of a relationship NOA feels “probably should never really have happened in the first place.”

The three song writers wanted to create something edgy, confident and percussive, that told the story of what NOA was feeling post break-up. The song was written in one quick session where the muse was with them.

The Dutch-Canadian, Toronto-born artist has spent the last three years creating a solid catalogue of songs blending “vibrant, catchy melodies with resonant emotional themes -from relationships to female empowerment and self-realization.”

NOA is a graduate of Berklee College of Music where she earned a degree in songwriting and music business. Following her studies, NOA was on Season 2 of CTV’s “The Launch”, where she worked with Ryan Tedder of One Republic and Scott Borchetta, boss of Big Machine Records.

In 2019, NOA released her two debut singles, “Hypocritical” and “Caught Up”. Her 2020 single “Motions” made a TV debut of the song on Canada’s “The Morning Show.”

She has sold out shows at Toronto’s Drake Hotel and Los Angeles’ Hotel Cafe. After a year in Los Angeles, writing a song a day and spending more hours at the studio than at home, the promising 24-year-old artist is definitely one to watch…
