Red Moon Shines Bright…

An exciting new artist we tip as a future star, Red Moon drops her mesmerising new single “Dreamer” today (24th Sept 2020) on Decca Records.

Taken from her upcoming six-track EP “Phase I:XI”, out on 9th October.

The 27-year-old artist Red Moon, aka Joanna Deborah Bussinger, performed under the pseudonym Deborah Scarlett in her teenage years.

Born in Basel, Switzerland in 1993 to Norwegian parents, returning to their hometown of Nittedal in Norway when their daughter was six. She returned to Switzerland at the age of ten.

Joanna was raised in an artistic household, her mother and grandmother both accomplished painters, her relationship with music stretches far back to her childhood.

Moving between Norway and Switzerland, attending a music academy where she played piano and worked on arrangement, writing and melody.

She represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 and was a contestant in the Norwegian version of The Voice in 2013.

Inspired by strong female artists including Imogen Heap and Sia, Red Moon was fascinated by melodrama and emotion.

A love of dramatic production and a playfulness with melody has drawn Red Moon towards creating climactic music, as heard on “Dreamer”, a song she wrote in Berlin some time ago – the follow-up to debut single “Dogma”.

We say: Kate Bush meets Florence Welch and some………… Stunning and in her own lane. Watch her go….
