Broken Witt Rebels: New Video For Title Track Of Current Album…

Birmingham’s Broken Witt Rebels –  who Music Republic Magazine has tipped for big things since the day we launched the magazine back in December 2016 – have released the video for the title track of their new album “OK Hotel”.

Our editor was in fact, the first to give them national coverage and predict major success some time before that, in two major national magazines, with an exclusive interview and photo shoot.

Spending the day with the band in Birmingham, for a sneak preview of their latest songs live in their rehearsal studio, plus a wander around the city for photographs and a very pleasant pub lunch to finish off the interview.

The new video features ‘Super8’-style footage of the USA, along with backstage and performance clips. Ross Syner directed it.

The band say that “OK Hotel” was actually inspired by some of the places they have stayed in while touring in Europe, but it’s also a song that reflects how America hit these four lads from Birmingham; the wide open roads, the imagery…. A bit like stepping onto the set of some of their favourite films growing up.

The track follows the band’s previous singles “Rich Get Richer”, “Running With The Wolves” and “Money”, all of which feature on “OK Hotel”, the acclaimed 13-track album on Snakefarm Records/Universal, which was released in March this year, just as the Coronavirus crisis hit.

The global crisis scuppered plans for a major UK tour to promote the record. Now re-scheduled to September and October 2020 (including Dublin and Belfast), with European dates in November.

Since their incarnation in 2015, lead singer Danny Core, James Tranter on guitar, Luke Davis on bass and James Dudley on drums, independently worked a series of EPs and then released their self-titled debut album in 2017, also via Snakefarm Records.

Their releases have been supported by headline and support shows across the globe, including a Stateside run with Texan rockers Whiskey Myers, plus European dates with Blue October.

Broken Witt Rebels’ have stormed festivals such as Reading and Leeds, Download UK, Wacken Open Air, Camden Rocks and The Great Escape, and last year they finished off 2019 with a run of UK headline shows, most dates were sold out.
