Thank U Very Much For The NHS – The Scaffold…

Legendary Liverpudlian group The Scaffold have reworked their Top Five hit, ‘Thank U Very Much’  – in aid of front-line healthcare workers.

Collaborating in isolation, Mike McGear, Roger McGough and John Gorman have adapted the song to pay tribute to NHS staff who are working tirelessly for the country.

Mike McGear McCartney says: “I’ve had personal ties with the NHS all my life, as my mum Mary was a nurse andf midwife in Liverpool (she brought Carrie Mulligan’s father into this world!) & my daughter Theran is a front-line nurse in Sheffield.

“Therefore I’m doing everything I can to support them. All money raised from the sale of this single goes to our amazing NHS workers, via ‘NHS Charities Together’. Please STAY HOME”.

NHS Charities Together – is the national umbrella organisation for hundreds of NHS charities across the country. Its urgent appeal acknowledges and supports NHS staff and volunteers caring for COVID-19 patients.

It has been put together in liaison with NHS England and national bodies, member NHS charities and national giving platforms. Let’s all buy it and get the song to number one in tribute to our wonderful NHS workers…
