Two Day Improvised Contemporary Jazz Festival News

 

 

Here’s an usual event: Jazzwerkstatt Special. A two-day mini-festival of improvised, contemporary jazz at The Vortex Jazz Club, Dalston, London, on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th November, 2017. Featuring many leading German musicians, including:  Lothar Ohlmeier, Uwe Kropinski, Peter Ehwald, Stefan Schultze, Gerhard Gschlößl, Rüdiger Krause and many others. Three performances each night.

They are joined by top British jazz players Alan Skidmore and Julie Sassoon;  American musicians Kelvin Scholar and Tom Rainey; Berlin-based, Croatian singer Vesna Pisarović, and Berlin-based, Australian drummer Steve Heather.

The concerts have been assembled by German music publisher, concert producer and record label owner  Ulli Blobel, all operated under his Jazzwerkstatt company, based in Wuppertal, near Düsseldorf.
