Ones To Watch: Alt-Rockers ‘Where Fires Are’

Adrenaline-fuelled alt-rockers Where Fires Are, are ones to watch for 21017. A five-piece band from Leeds with frontman Robbie Gillespie, Nick Banks (Keys, synth), James Clegg (Bass), Matt Exton (Drums) and Ash Reynolds (Guitar) dishing out an edgy alternative-rock feel to their music.

They just dropped their superb new single “‘I’ve Got The Time”, along with news of their forthcoming EP “One Four Six One”, which is available from February 2nd. The EP has four powerful tracks, which balance their explosive energy with emotionally charged melodies and expressive lyrics.

The track listing is as follows: “I’ve Got The Time”, “It Feels Right”, “I’m Here” and “Die Or Survive”. A delicate balancing act between their explosive energy, emotionally charged melodies and expressive lyrics. It follows the 2015 “Orange” EP, which saw them championed by the likes of BBC Introducing’s Alan Raw and BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson; gaining them their first taste of national airplay.

The guys have also played a number of festivals including Reading and Leeds, Tramlines, Live at Leeds, Kendal Calling and Willow Festival as well as Mondo N.Y.C Showcase Festival in 2016.
