HANABIE. [stylised with a full stop] the superstar Tokyo-based all-girl rock band are blowing the roof off on their current six-date UK tour, and last night [2nd Nov 2025] they wowed Birmingham 02 Institute with an incendiary 18-song set to a packed venue.

The band formed a decade ago when Yukina (lead vocals), Matsuri (guitars/vocals), and Hettsu (bass/vocals) came together for a highschool club activity. With the addition of Chika on drums in May 2023, the band has evolved into a huge name in metal.

They deliver metalcore hardcore punk, and nu metal, with influences from electronica, J-pop and contemporary culture centred around Harajuku district in a style self-described as “Harajuku-core”.
“Pardon Me, I Have To Go Now” their hit track has had circa million views on YouTube and in excess of five million on TikTok.
