Yungblud: Last Night’s Explosive Return To The Stage…

Yungblud made his live return last night – Friday 21st March 2025 – with a surprise free gig at Scala in London, where he played a short set of songs from his forthcoming album, including the nine-minute epic single “Hello Heaven, Hello”.

The 27 year old artist from Doncaster, whose last two albums went to number one in the UK and broke into the US Billboard top 100, announced the last minute gig on social media on Wednesday, giving fans the chance to secure free tickets online.

Yungblud took to the stage to rapturous applause at the packed London venue, opening with the brand-new “Hello Heaven, Hello”, which premiered as BBC Radio 1’s ‘Hottest Record’ on Wednesday evening.

The artist took a moment to address the crowd after the first song, announcing, “It’s fucking good to be back”, before asking, “Are you ready to hear some songs off the new record?”

He then revealed the name of an unreleased, Blur-esque banger, stating, “‘This song’s called ‘Lovesick Lullaby’ “, before launching into the up-tempo anthem. Before closing the set with another unreleased track, the artist urged the crowd to embrace the moment.

“London, can I ask a favour of you? Can everyone put their phones away? This song is about comprehending your mortality because we are not fucking here for very long… don’t forget to fucking live man.”

The gig was Yungblud’s first UK live appearance since August 2024, when he took the stage to headline his own curated festival Bludfest at The National Bowl, Milton Keynes. The festival will return for its second year in June of this year.
