Tom Walker: Freaking Out…

Tom Walker has announced a spring UK tour ahead of his second album “I AM”, which drops 31st May 2023. The second single from the new album, “Freaking Out”, is out today (3rd Nov) and is on most digital sites.

It follows “Burn” lifted from the incoming new long player – which is the follow-up to his multi-platinum selling debut album, “What A Time To Be Alive”.

Tom states: “After 4 years of writing and recording, I am so bloody proud to announce that my brand new album ‘I AM’ is coming out next year. I can’t tell you the amount of time, passion and energy I have poured into making this record.

“I won’t lie, at times it hasn’t been easy, I’ve ripped up and binned more than an album’s worth of material to get to this point. But I can confidently say I’ve never believed in the music I am making more than I do now. I am absolutely in love with these songs and the production that backs them up.”

Tom was 2019’s biggest selling UK-signed artist, with a chart topping debut album, had a smash hit international hit single in the awesome “Leave A Light On'”, three million worldwide album sales and more than four billion global streams.

“Freaking Out” was nailed with a dream team of producers Fraser T. Smith (Adele, Stormzy) and Stuart Price (Madonna, The Killers).

After writing and binning a bunch of self-rejected new tracks, Tom subsequently headed out to Los Angeles to write with the McDonough brothers, Toby Gadd, Ryan Daly & Castle, who’s credits between them include Beyonce, Joji, Khalid, Mimi Webb and John Legend. The trip reignited the excitement and love of trying brand new things.

  • Tom appears on “Later…with Jools Holland” on TV screens 11th November, performing “Burn'”and “Freaking Out”.
