Well, today we stumbled across a belting track from Carley Varley, an uber-talented young UK pop artist who we think has got it going’ on – and the track “Won’t Say Sorry” could be a hit if national radio get to hear it and bang it on the playlist.
She’s just dropped another decent tune, “Honest Conflict” and a third cut “Find” is imminent, from her debut EP “Captured Memories”. But “Won’t Say Sorry” should surely appeal to BBC Radio 1 and Radio 2 listeners in their droves.
A break-up song where she’s not gonna be the one to make the first move to patch things up. Sound familar?
It’s quirky, fun, feel-good, it’s bouncy, it has teen attitude and it’s got Katy Perry and The Ting Tings vibes all over it. A really infectious hook and sounds like a slick big budget L.A. studio production. Perfect pop.

History graduate (Winchester Uni) Carley Varley is from Hampshire, now based in Dorset, and since December 2018 she is a full-time musician. Singer, songwriter, pianist and acoustic guitarist.
Learning guitar and piano at 14, she started out as a busker and progressed to open mike nights, pub gigs and private functions singing covers.
In 2018, Carley won The Dorset Venus Award for Musical Talent. Her musical influences are varied, from Ed Sheeran to Coldplay, Evanescence to Adele, and the likes of Maroon 5 and Linkin Park.
Now penning her own songs, Carley is releasing her own music, starting with her debut single “Won’t Say Sorry”, “Honest Conflict” and soon, “Found”. Definitely one to watch, and we will be, you can bet your sweet bippy on that.
A down-to-earth young artist with no delusions or rampant ego. She succinctly sums up her outlook up in just 51 words:
“My story is simply a girl who loves music and never thought she’d be pursing a career in it.
“I love what I do, and I am incredibly thankful for the opportunities and support I have received over the years. I look forward to releasing more music and chasing more opportunities”.
Her beloved dog Obi already thinks she is a star. Well, we all think that smart pet pooch may well be on to something…Watch this space!
