Day # one saw some on and off rain, but the sunshine made a welcome appearance. Unfortunately today has started off wetter than an otter’s pocket and the forecast for rest of the weekend is not very promising. But the fans and the bands and the organisers carry on regardless…

The annual heavy metal and hard rock celebration weekend in June – which draws fans from around the world [circa 75,000] to the Leicestershire site – has a mouth watering 2024 lineup; with the likes of Queens Of The Stone Age, Royal Blood, Fallout Boy, The Offspring, Avenged Sevenfold, LimpBizkit, Funeral For A Friend, Pantera, Machine Head…

And even Busted [yep, really!] are scheduled for an appearance – plus many, many, many more across several stages. Ace snapper Jason Sheldon is back in the pit to capture a bunch of “Hot Shots” for us on all three days.

Waterproofs and wellies the order of the day (s), making the nicknames Drownload and Downpour pretty accurate!
